Basics for new Land Owners
- Shelby County Extension OfficeBasics of Owning Land Series is designed for new/beginning land owners and farmers and provides basic information covering a broad range of relative topics. This is a two-part series held Thursdays, March 13 and 20 at 6 p.m. Additional program details will be available as the date nears on Facebook and our website. Scissor Sharpening (Snippy Jim)
- Shelby County Extension OfficeJim Stohr, aka “Snippy Jim”, will be at the Extension Office for sharpening services. In addition to scissors, he sharpens snips, pinking shears, knives, garden tools, axes, loopers, and manual hedge trimmers. Any tool that needs to be sharpened can be brought. His technique does not involve grinding the implement but rather sharpening.

First Saturday Walkabout
- Clear Creek FACOn the first Saturday of every month, sign in at the front desk of Clear Creek FAC between 8:00 and 8:30, and you will receive one FREE Day Pass to use at a later date. After signing in, you can walk on the trails, the walking path, or the inside track.
Dairy Club
- Shelby County Extension OfficeThe Shelby County 4-H Dairy Club is a group of 4-Hers, parents, and volunteers who share an interest in owning, caring for, and/or showing Dairy Cattle.
Through educational club meetings, members learn the information they need to successfully raise and show dairy animals. The Dairy Club provides opportunities for members to attend educational field trips and participate in activities to promote the dairy industry.
