Swarm and honey bee removal are also offered and Pat always has a spare jacket for those interested in saving our local bee population! Mulberry Orchard
The Gajdziks planted over 3,000 apple and peach trees in early 2010 with the desire to sell quality, local produce to their surrounding communities. The orchard currently has 17 varieties of peaches and 16 of apples so everyone can find their favorites.
Apples will be harvested late June until October and peaches will be available July until August. There are also a variety of berries and fresh vegetables available throughout the season.
Make a quick trip for some juicy peaches or come out to the farm for the day and take a hayride through the orchard, visit with our animals, play in the kids area, shop in the market, or just enjoy the beautiful scenery from a rocking chair. Don't forget to join us in the fall too in order to pick your pumpkins and have an adventure in our corn maze during one of our many fall festivals. Mulberry orchard also offers local honey, eggs, meats, apple cider, unique gift items and a wide variety of other local offering. Our kitchen offers lunch along with tasty treats made from our products.

Sweethaven Farm
Sweethaven Farm was established in 1989 by Jon and Sandy Topy when we moved from the suburbs of Louisville, Kentucky to rural Shelby County. Over the past 25 years the farm has passed through several iterations from u-pick blackberries and Angora goats to our current crops of asparagus, garlic and cut flowers. A craft artisan of many years, Sandy will be offering classes at the farm in chair caning, natural dyeing and other fiber arts. We plan to open the farm to the public later in the year for u-pick cut flowers and fiber classes. Visitors are welcome by appointment.

Our boys and girls are raised as naturally as we see humanely fit. The sheep are rotated through their open pastures on a monthly basis to assist in the prevention of internal parasites and foot rot. This rotation also provides for variety and lack of boredom to the sheep. Each pasture has shelter to assist in protection from the weather.
We vaccinate our lambs when born for CDT (Tetanus). We worm as needed, but not just because the calendar says so. We do not feed antibiotics or growth hormones. Antibiotics may be used if it is medically necessary as we do not want any of our flock to suffer. We do not dock tails The short tails are natural... they are Certified Bob-Tails. We provide a free choice mineral buffet for the flock to choose what their body needs.
The Royal White is a superior meat sheep and considered to be a true hair sheep. The sheep have been developed for easy care and high performance. They produce a high quality lamb meat and superior garment quality leather.

Wild Carrot Farm is a family-owned farm nestled in the rolling hills of Shelby County, Kentucky. Our specialty is naturally-grown produce with an emphasis on fresh hot peppers and heirloom tomatoes.
