2022 Shelby County Fair 4-H Shows Schedule 

 

Floral Hall Entries for 4-H Project's

Entries Taken: Monday, June 13 from 11-5 p.m. in Floral Hall at the Shelby County Fairgrounds

(Entries will not be taken after 5 p.m.)

View the 4-H Project Guide Book for information on eligible 4-H projects to enter. Copies of the 4-H project Guide Book can also be picked up at the Shelby County Extension Office.

 All Livestock Shows will be held at the Shelby County Fairgrounds, 1513 Midland Trail, Shelbyville, KY 40065

Shelby County 4-H Dairy & Livestock Shows Rules & Guidelines

  • KDA show guidelines will be followed.

  • Social distancing required within show area.

  • Hog, Sheep and Goat Exhibitors must show off trailers. The parking lots around the show arena are gravel. Cattle may tie in the barn.

  • Washrack is open for use. 

  • For Hog, Sheep & Goat Shows there will be market classes only. Females may show as market animals without KUIP tags.

  • Animals will be weighed prior to start of show (excluding Dairy, Rabbits & Poultry). 

  • No premiums will be given day of show. Awards provided for class winners, grand and reserve grand and showmanship.

  • Entries can be completed early and e-mailed to rbrownin@uky.edu

  • Beef Show Specifics:

  • Steer show is open. Steers will be weighed prior to start of show. 

  • Minimum of FIVE head for breed classes, all others will show AOB.

  • All percentage breeds will show together regardless of number.

  • Bull and Female classes are as follows: Jr Calf, Sr Calf, Summer Yearling, Jr Yearling, Sr Yearling. NO Cow/Calf classes.
