What to expect at Day Camp
The goal of day camp is to encourage and inspire creativity in each camper. We do this through a wide range of activities, crafts, interactive games, the arts and much more!
Campers also have the opportunity to participate in a workshop of their choice. Workshop descriptions and signups are included with registration. Activities will be built around unique and fun daily themes.
**Campers will be expected to bring lunch each day **
Who May Attend?
Youth from Shelby County who have completed 2nd grade and not yet entered 7th grade. You do not have to belong to Shelby County 4-H to attend day camp.
Payment and Registration
Camper Registration will be available in June
Registration Fee: $50 per camper
Cash or Check only - Limited Space Available - Payment due at Registration
DAY CAMP COUNSELORS NEEDED
Shelby County 4-H is looking for teens, ages 14-18 who would be interested in planning workshops, teaching youth and working with fellow teens to develop a day camp schedule and group activities. This is a 3-day camp hosted at the Shelby County Extension Office.
Campers will range from ages 8-12 and will register for workshops based on their interest. Workshops will be designed and lead by teen counselors and should reflect your interests as well. Workshop ideas include but are not limited to:
· Jewelry Making, STEM, Scrapbooking, Theater, Culinary, Natural Resources, Crafts, Upcycle, Photography
If you would like to apply to serve as a teen counselor for Shelby County 4-H Summer Day Camp please complete the Day Camp Counselor Application below. Applications can also be picked up at the Shelby County Extension Office.
